WMSCOG Bay Walk Park Cleanup Long Island, NY
PORT WASHINGTON, NEW YORK — On July 28th, 2024, 27 volunteers of the World Mission Society Church of God are cleaning up the marine ecosystem at Bay Walk Park in partnership with the Manhasset Bay Protection Committee. In 2015 the United Nations adopted the 2030 agenda for Sustainable Development and created the 17 Sustainable Development Goals we now have. This cleanup not only helps the environment on a local level but also supports 3 out of the 17 United Nations Sustainable goals [SDG’s]. The Manhasset Bay Protection Committee’s goals aligned with our goals to aid in the conservation of wildlife and the well-being of all mankind, locally, nationally and globally. As a matter of fact, this is the World Mission Society's 8,170th global cleanup.
