The prophet who ignored God’s warning was tragically killed by a lion on the road. In the time of Moses, the firstborn of every Egyptian household that did not keep the Passover died. Through these historical accounts, we learn that we must pay attention to God’s message of warning given to us in this age. The Church of God Keeps the New Covenant Passover: The Sign to Escape Disasters Christ Ahnsahnghong said that keeping God’s commandments is loving God. He also taught us that, just as in the time of the Exodus, only by keeping the commandment of the Passover can we receive the sign to escape disasters and be under God’s protection amid the prophesied last disasters.`

The Biblical Basis for the Church of God Keeping the Sabbath Day on Saturday Today, even the Catholic Church, which holds worship on Sunday, acknowledges that the Sabbath recorded in the Bible is Saturday, not Sunday. In the Old Testament times, God Jehovah declared the seventh day as God’s Sabbath and commanded it to be kept holy as the fourth of the Ten Commandments. In the New Testament times, Jesus also stated that the Sabbath should be kept holy until the end of the age. Worshipping on Sunday, the first day, which is not mentioned in the Bible, is an act of adding to or taking away from the words of God, and thus, it leads to receiving disasters and being unable to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Just as children resemble their parents, God’s children must become love as God is Love. He died instead of His children who were destined to enter eternal hell due to their sin in heaven. And He allowed them the kingdom of heaven, cleansing all their sins through His precious blood. Therefore, God’s children must share love with one another and be reborn as heavenly people.
