In 2023, ASEZ WAO Korean Language Course started with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Korea. The Korean language course spanned approximately six months, during which diplomats, including the embassy's deputy chief of mission, dedicated time to studying Hangeul (Korean alphabet) and gaining insight into Korean culture alongside ASEZ WAO activists.
On December 17, the completion ceremony for the "ASEZ WAO Korean Language Course Completion Ceremony with the Uzbekistan Embassy" took place in Seoul, Korea.
On the day of the graduation, the diplomats from the embassy expressed their appreciation to ASEZ WAO in Korean language, and read letters in Korean, showing off their Korean skills.
Following the completion ceremony for Part 1, Part 2 featured a cultural exchange event where participants enjoyed meaningful moments, engaging in traditional Korean games such as jegichagi (Korean hacky sack), tuho (arrow throwing game), and making dalgona (Korean sugar candy).
In response, the embassy staff served traditional Uzbek food to ASEZ WAO members, which made it even more meaningful in terms of cultural exchange between the two countries.
In 2024, ASEZ WAO will continue to spread Korean language and culture, taking the lead in activities for humanity.
