The Longing for Truth Is Satisfied

I attended church since I was young, but I always had a thirst for truth.

I grew up in a family of pastors.
My father was a pastor, my grandfather, my great-grandfather,
and my great-great-grandfather, they were all pastors or ministers.
So I'd say I grew up reading the Bible quite often,
studying the Bible, going to church, praying when I went to sleep,
I always felt that I was spiritually connected with God most of my life,
compared to other people my age.

However, in college, I started to question
whether or not my upbringing or my religious beliefs were true
or if they were just customs and traditions.
So while I was seeking the answers,
I was invited to study the Bible from members of the Church of God.
And during the Bible study, I was really amazed
by what they showed me inside the Bible.
I’ve never seen some of those teachings before.

One example that I was shocked to see was Jesus Himself celebrated the Passover on the night before he was crucified.
I attended church most of my life, as I said, my father was even a pastor, but I never learned that Jesus kept the Passover and nor did I know that He asked us to celebrate it and kept it as an example for us.

Since I had a religious background before coming to the Church of God, I was able to compare the teachings that I was learning in the Church of God with what I learned in other denominations before.
So I could really see that what the Church of God was teaching was legitimate, and this is definitely the truth.
