The Cross of Christ & Our Own Cross
“Take up Your Own Cross” Means That We Must Bear Our Own Sufferings
To correctly follow the path of Christ, we must take up our own cross. Jesus, who is God, carried the burden of the cross for the salvation of mankind, and the forefathers of faith such as Moses and Apostle Paul took up their cross of suffering with joy. In the same way, we too must carry our own cross and walk the path of suffering for salvation.
The Members Follow the Way of the Cross Set by Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother
Just as Apostle Paul regarded all sufferings as blessings, following the way of the cross of Christ, the members of the Church of God joyfully take up their cross at any moment and follow God’s way with firm faith, never forgetting to give thanks to God.
“Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
Matthew 5:10–12
