God’s Children Should Place Their Hope in the Kingdom of Heaven, Not in Material Things

Although Judas Iscariot was a disciple of Jesus, his heart was set on material wealth rather than the kingdom of heaven. He helped himself to the money bag entrusted to him and even rebuked Mary for using expensive perfume to prepare for Jesus’ burial. Just as the history of David and Ahithophel served as a prophetic shadow, Judas sold Jesus for thirty pieces of silver and ultimately fulfilled the prophecy of his own demise by hanging himself.

Just as Eve Was Tempted When She Drew Near the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, Temptation Always Comes From What Is Close to Us

Just as Judas Iscariot was tempted by the money bag entrusted to him, we, too, must be vigilant against Satan’s temptations, which often arise from our immediate surroundings. We must live out our faith through gracious words and deeds. Those who faithfully follow the path to the kingdom of heaven led by Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother will glorify God and enjoy eternal glory in the kingdom of heaven.

For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. . . . For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. 1 Timothy 6:7–10
