On 25 May 2025, volunteers of the World Mission Society Church of God carried out the Plastic Footprint Removal Campaign as part of the Global Hope Challenge. They picked up rubbish along the Yarra River Linear Reserve.

Councillor Rafael Camillo from the City of Melbourne attended the event, gave an encouraging speech and participated in cleaning up together with the volunteers.
