ASEZ, short for Save the Earth from A to Z, is more than just a name. It’s a promise carried by university students determined to leave the world better than they found it. Guided by the heart of a mother, ASEZ volunteers step into communities not just to help, but to uplift, restore, and bring hope where it’s needed most.
At Northriding Secondary School, that promise took root … quite literally. On a day filled with purpose and energy, volunteers gathered on the school grounds, planting lemon trees that will one day offer shade, nourishment, and cleaner air.
Trees are more than greenery; they are quiet guardians of our environment, absorbing carbon and breathing life back into the earth. With every tree planted, the team contributed to something far greater than the moment, a step toward healing the planet.
Students, community members, and even Mrs. South Africa, Verushka Singh, stood side by side, hands in the soil, sharing in a simple yet powerful act of care.
Through initiatives like this, ASEZ continues to show that meaningful change doesn’t always begin with grand gestures, but with people coming together, willing to act. In those small, collective efforts, a cleaner, greener, and more compassionate world begins to grow.
