The Regulation of the City of Refuge in the Old Testament Shows Us the Relationship Between the Angelic World and the Earth

Through the system of the city of refuge in the Old Testament, God protected those who accidently killed people and allowed them to return to the country of their own only through the death of the high Priest. This reveals what happens in the spiritual world and how we can receive God’s salvation.

All human beings came down to the earth, the spiritual city of refuge, after committing sins in Heaven, and they can return to the Heavenly Country only by receiving the forgiveness of sins through the Passover of the New Covenant, which contains the precious blood of the high pries, anointed with holy oil.

All these people were still living by faith when they died ... And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were longing for a better country--a heavenly one. Hebrews 11:13–16
