Arthur Ash became the first African American to win a major tennis tournament. After retirement, he contracted AIDS from a blood transfusion he received during heart surgery.
“Don’t you feel reproach towards God in Heaven?” A man asked Ash.
“When I hold the trophy at the championship , I didn't think, 'Why did I win?' Likewise, I can't complain, 'Why is me' just because I have AIDS."
Sometimes when trials come to us, what are we doing, gratitude or resentment? Like Ash who found something to be thankful for instead of resentment in the midst of trials, how about going through the trials we encounter in life with gratitude?
