Most Christians today believe that there is only God the Father, but the original text of the Bible mostly refers to God as Elohim [Gods] in a plural form.
If there is only God the Father, God should have been described in a singular form.
However, the Bible refers to God as Elohim [Gods] about 2,500 times in the Old Testament.
In Hebrew, El or Eloah means God in a singular form.
Elohim, which was used in the Bible about 2,500 times to describe God, is not a singular form but a plural form. It means that God the Father is not the only Savior for us. The Bible expressed God as “us” in a plural from.
Then God [Elohim] said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness . . .” Ge 1:26
Then, what likeness does God Elohim, who is referred to as “us,” have?
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them . . . Ge 1:27
God created male and female in His own image. This means that God exists as a male image, Father, and as a female image, Mother, as well. That’s why God refers to Himself as “us,” a plural form.
God who created the heavens and the earth and saves us, is Elohim, that is to say, God the Father and God the Mother. The World Mission Society Church of God believes in Elohim—the Second Coming Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother.
