Jesus’ resurrection greatly encouraged the saints of the early Church. The Church of God commemorates Jesus’ resurrection which occurred 2,000 years ago, believing that we, too, will be changed to a spiritual body as He set the example.
We Will be Changed Into Spiritual Bodies
The dragonfly nymph may look very ugly but in its due time, it slips out of the skin and opens its silver wings. Likewise, human body, too, needs the process of being changed into a spiritual body that resembles God by learning consideration and love in God.
The Resurrection Day is not only the day to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus. It is the day of giving sincere thanks to God for giving the hope of resurrection to humankind who are destined to die, and for recreating us into immortal beings.
Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. 1 Corinthians 15:51
