Just as we learn the language of a country before going there, so we must learn the heavenly language that glorifies God, taking God’s teachings as our compass, in order to go to the Kingdom of Heaven.

The Members of the Church of God Always Rejoice and Give Thanks to God

The heavenly language has no word of grumbling or testing God, but is full of joy. As we learn from the story of a mother who has two sons—an umbrella seller and a straw shoes seller, we must always be thankful rather than to grumble.

Now we ask you, brothers . . . Hold them in the highest regard in love . . . Live in peace with each other. . . . Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else. Be joyful always . . . 1 Thessalonians 5:12–16
