On Which Feast Did God Break the Power of Death
and Confirm the Existence of the Kingdom of Eternal Life?
Just as God submerged the Egyptian army in the Red Sea,
He destroyed the power of sin and granted mankind the hope of resurrection
on the Resurrection Day. It is the day when Jesus Himself demonstrated
that we will be transformed from a physical body into a spiritual body.
Why Do the Day of Firstfruits in the Old Testament
and the Day When Jesus Was Resurrected Fall on Sunday?
The day when the Egyptian army was buried in the Red Sea
and the Israelites landed from the Red Sea was a Sunday.
Therefore, to commemorate this day, the Day of Firstfruits in the Old Testament
was established and it was always observed on a Sunday.
According to the prophecy, Jesus Christ became the firstfruits of those
who have fallen asleep and was resurrected from the dead on a Sunday.
But our citizenship is in heaven.
And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,
who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control,
will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
