The Important Thing Is Not Our Thoughts, But the Word of God That Saves Us
The Israelites had forgotten God’s word that saved them when they were bitten by venomous snakes. Instead, they worshiped the bronze snake for over 800 years, but the bronze snake was broken by Hezekiah. Likewise, the most important matter is that the precious blood of Jesus Christ is the only thing that is able to save mankind. Therefore, we must realize that if we set up the cross, which is only a tool for execution, we will be cursed.
From the Old Testament Times to the Present Day, God Has Forbidden Idolatry
The cross, which had been passed down to Rome since the time of ancient Babylonia, was introduced into the church around AD 431, after Jesus ascended to heaven and all the apostles left. According to the teachings of Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother, who said, “Do not worship idols,” the Church of God does not erect and worship the cross or any other images.
“You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath . . . You shall not bow down to them or worship them.”
Exodus 20:4–5
“Cursed is the man who carves an image or casts an idol—a thing detestable to the LORD, the work of the craftsman’s hands—and sets it up in secret.” Then all the people shall say, “Amen!”
