A shepherd is more important than a king to a lost sheep,
and water is more valuable than gold in the desert.
The value of God’s commandments will be revealed
when mankind stands before God’s judgment seat.
This is because heaven and hell are determined based on
whether or not one has kept God’s commandments.

Why Does the Church of God Keep the Passover, God’s Commandment?

Since the kingdom of heaven is a place where sinners cannot enter,
it is imperative that they receive forgiveness for their sins.
God has promised the forgiveness of sins in the precious blood of Christ
through the new covenant Passover. Therefore, like David, mankind
must have faith in God’s promise and love His commandments.

Because I love your commands more than gold, more than pure gold, . . .
Psalm 119:127

“ ‘The Teacher says: My appointed time is near.
I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’ ”
So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.
. . . “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant,
which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”
