The Feast of Unleavened Bread is a feast for us to look back on the life and passion of Christ, repenting of our sins, and leaving behind a childish faith. Just like Apostle Paul, our faith should grow into a mature faith, so that we may learn how to be truly grateful for the many hardships we face in our life of faith.
Jesus did not live the life of glory and honor that He deserved as God. He endured the suffering of the cross for His children along with ridicule and hatred from others. Likewise, the members of the Church of God live a life for others, not for their own joy. They strive to be reborn as the complete beings that God is pleased with.
Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, “He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?” “He is worthy of death,” they answered. Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists. Others slapped him and said, “Prophesy to us, Christ. Who hit you?”
