The Day of Atonement is the great day when all the sins of the people and the priests are forgiven. The Israelites forgot God’s grace and sinned by worshipping an idol, the golden calf. That is why Moses broke the first set of the Ten Commandments given by God. The Israelites repented of their sins and God granted them the second set of the Ten Commandments; this day became the origin of the Day of Atonement.
In the Old Testament, all the sins of Israel were temporarily transferred to the sanctuary until the Day of Atonement. Today, all our sins have been transferred to Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother, who are the reality of the sanctuary. Then, on the Day of Atonement, all our sins are transferred to Satan, who is the originator of sin. Eventually, Satan will be judged in the abyss, that is, hell and by then, all sins will finally disappear.
Then the LORD said to Moses, “The tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. Hold a sacred assembly and deny yourselves, and present an offering made to the LORD by fire.”
Leviticus 23:26–27
The next day John saw Jesus coming towards him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”
John 1:29
And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulphur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
