The Great Promise of the Passover

The Church of God Keeps the Passover, Which Holds God’s Great Promise and True Love

With a deep desire for all mankind to live, God established the great promise of the Passover. On the night before His death on the cross, He left us His final will, commanding, “You must keep the Passover.”

Why Did Christ Ahnsahnghong Restore the Passover, Which Was Abolished in AD 325?

The Passover, which God Himself commanded us to keep, can never be abolished by human authority. Just as the Israelites, who endured long slavery in Egypt, were liberated through the Passover, the truth of the Passover is the only path to freedom for all mankind, who are bound by the chains of death.

Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. . . . When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.” Luke 22:7–15

Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.” John 6:53–54
